The open-air pool in the district Krumhermersdorf is situated in a tranquil and idyllic area, the so-called "Nesselgrund". It is accessible through a driveway off Waldkirchner Straße near the local ninepins alley.
The open-air pool offers a swimmer's area with an integrated non-swimmers pool and a waterslide for children. The swimmers' pool measures 30 m x 15 m and the non-swimmers' area measures 10 m x 15 m. The depth of the water reaches from 0,90m to 1,35m in the non-swimmers area and from 1,80m to 2,20m in the swimmers' pool. A seperate pool made of stainless steel is available for small children with the maximum depth of 0,6m.
Besides swimming, it is also possible to play beach volleyball and table tennis.
Children will have fun on the pirate-styled climbing frame with attached sandpits, a seesaw and swings.
Drinks and food are available at the kiosk.
Due to its tranquil location, the rear area of the compound is often used for special events such as graduation parties with camping or BBQ evenings of school classes, clubs etc.
The paths around the pool and the recently refurbished tiolets with the attached changing rooms are all accessible for disabled people.

Das Freibad
im Ortsteil Krumhermersdorf liegt in einer ruhigen und idyllischen Lage im so genannten Nesselgrund. Die Zufahrt zum Freibad befindet sich auf der Waldkirchener Straße unterhalb der ortsansässigen Kegelbahn.
In diesem Freibad gibt es ein Schwimmerbecken mit integrierten Nichtschwimmerbereich und einer Kinderrutsche. Der Schwimmerbereich ist 30 x 15 Meter und der Nichtschwimmerbereich 10 x 15 Meter groß. Die Wassertiefen gehen von 0,90 m bis 1,10 m im Nichtschwimmerbereich und von 1,80 m bis 2,10 m im Schwimmerbereich. Für unsere kleinen Badegäste steht ein Kinderbecken aus Edelstahl zur Verfügung. Die tiefste Stelle beträgt 0,60 m.
Weitere Angebote im Freibad sind
- ein Beach-Volleyballplatz und Tischtennisplatten für sportliche Aktivitäten,
- eine Piratenkletterburg mit Sandkästen, eine Wippe und Schaukeln für unsere kleinen Gäste, sowie
- der im Freibad gelegene Imbiss, der für Speisen und Getränke sorgt.
Durch die ruhige Lage wird kann der hintere Teil des Freibadgeländes für Veranstaltungen, wie Abschlussfeiern mit Zeltlager oder Grillabenden durch Schulklassen, Vereine und weitere genutzt werden.
Die Beckenumgänge und die sanierte WC-Anlage mit Umkleidekabinen sind behindertengerecht ausgebaut.
